Recognition and appeal

We analysed the job specifications advertised for medical secretaries and identified the most relevant combination of subjects. We used this knowledge to compile a programme of excellent standard, while following the national curriculum prescribed by the Department of Higher Education & Training.

Your route to success

This programme progresses through three levels. Each level takes place over one semester. After completing each semester, you are eligible for a national certificate on that level. We recommend continuing through all three levels in order to qualify for the National Diploma. The National Diploma requires graduates to work for 18 months or 2000 hours as at a medical practice before they are entitled to receive the highly respected diploma.
