KIA offers a National Certificate: Engineering Studies.
The Electrical Engineering programme is the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Electrical Engineers study the uses of electricity and equipment for power generation and distribution. This dynamic field involves the design of electronic circuits and the development of systems such as aircraft autopilots and state-of-the-art computers. Micro-electronics, the manufacture and repair of products like computers, microwaves and control systems, also falls within the sphere of Electrical Engineering.

N1 National Certificate/Grade 11/Senior Certificate/NSC (Maths or Maths Literacy required).
Minimum 2 Years and 6 Months, plus 2 years inservice training.
Maximum 4 Years and 2 years inservice training.
Certificates are awarded by the Department of Higher Education and Training.
All qualifications are nationally recognised by industry and universities.
Upon successful completion of this programme, learners will receive a:
National Certificate at each level N2, N3, N4, N5, N6
A National Senior Certificate or an appropriate National Certificate (N3), or an equivalent qualification.
